Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our dynamic team at Phillips-Medisize A/S, a leading provider of innovative medical devices. The Production Technician will play a key role in the assembly, testing, and quality assurance of medical devices, ensuring that all products meet industry standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the medical device industry, and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform assembly, calibration, and testing of medical devices according to established work instructions and quality standards.
- Operate, maintain and document the maintenance of manufacturing equipment, tools, and machinery used in the production process.
- Conduct inspections of components and finished products to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Document and track production data, including test results and quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and other departments to resolve production issues and improve manufacturing processes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in the identification and troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions, and work with maintenance teams for repairs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles.
- Ensure that all production activities are compliant with FDA regulations, ISO standards, and internal procedures.
- Assist in inventory management, including materials handling and stock control.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma and vocational training or equivalent (Associates degree or technical certification is a plus).
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in medical device manufacturing.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment.
- Experience with inspection, testing, and quality control procedures.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for medical devices (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with cleanroom environments and sterile assembly is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Experience in the use of precision measurement instruments.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, etc.).
- Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing certifications are a plus but not a requirement.
- Fluent in English is an advantage as it is corporate language
